Barking & Dagenham Post Cup

RULES FOR THE Barking & Dagenham Post Primary Schools’ Cup are as follows:

1. The teacher of the Home team should arrange the match, pitch and referee.
2. Semi Finals to be played on a neutral pitch with a neutral referee if possible. However, if there are difficulties, a venue and a referee can be mutually agreed. Semi Finals should be arranged in consultation with the Competition Secretary.
3. The venue, dates and times of the Final will be arranged by the Competition Secretary. The Finals will normally be played in the Spring term but may need to be played early in the Summer term.
4. A size 4 football should be used.
5. Each half to be 25 minutes long.
6. If neither team has won, then extra time should be played  (5 minutes each way). If there is still no winner, a replay should be arranged, unless both teachers have agreed beforehand to decide the game by penalties. A replay is preferable, but this may not be convenient and should be avoided if it would cause a backlog of fixtures.
7. If the Final is drawn after extra time then the Cup or Trophy will be shared.
8. All F.A. rules apply to these games.
9. A maximum of 4 substitutes to be used. Rolling subs to be allowed.
10. Only Year Six pupils (boys and girls) may play in the 11-a-side competitions.

If there are any problems these should be referred to the Competition Secretary.

Extra note: It is expected in Schools’ Football that all involved maintain high standards regarding fair play and sportsmanship. Please ensure that the codes of conduct for players and spectators are strictly maintained. In this way we can maintain the good reputation of Barking and Dagenham Schools. Copies are available in the About Us section of this website.
