Barking & Dagenham 17 (Darroux 4, E Webster 4, Davis 3, Patten 2, C Webster, Wallace)
Jo Richardson Community School Y7 0
BARKING & DAGENHAM GIRLS’ District team romped to another impressive victory against the older pupils of Jo Richardson in a one-sided encounter that saw them rack up seventeen goals without reply.
The Primary Schools’ representatives signalled their intent in the first minute when Chloe Webster’s long-range strike rattled the crossbar, deflecting to safety. However, they didn’t have to wait long for an opener as Ellie Webster cut the ball back from the right touchline for Libby Patten to drill the ball into the bottom corner.
Goals then followed at regular intervals. Ellie Webster added two more before half-time, along with a further strike from Patten and Elicia Wells’ brace.
At 6-0, the District team were cruising as Kleisha Darroux shot a quick-fire hat-trick in under a minute. The pick of the goals saw the St Vincent’s hit-woman win possession from the restart, charge dynamically through midfield, before howling in a cracking blast to make it 9-0.
In the second half, Ellie Webster’s cross was deflected in, before Darroux added her fourth of the afternoon after some persistent harrying of the Jo Richardson defence.
Chloe Webster then converted her sister’s cross before defender Amber Wallace scored her first District goal, following Aniesha Davis’ mazy run, to take the tally into the teens.
Davis then wrapped up a well-taken hat-trick in the final six minutes, punctuated by Ellie Webster’s fourth goal of the game to round off a stunning warm-up for the forthcoming Mayor’s Cup tournament.
