BDSFA At The Youth Games

BDSFA SENT A MIXED team to the London Youth Games for the third year running, but once again fell short of form, despite submitting a very strong squad.

Barking & Dagenham dominated all three of their group games but just couldn't find a way through their opponent's stubborn defences. Keeper Nathan Casey didn't touch the ball in any of the matches, which all finshed 0-0, resulting in the team finishing third in their group.

That meant they were entered into the Plate competition where Barking & Dagenham made hay in the sunshine, winning all three subsequent matches comfortably.

Haringey were defeated 2-1, with 3-0 wins racked up against Westminster and Islington. All time Girls' District leading scorer Klesha Darroux found the net four times, with Max Watters adding two more. Jack Richardson and Michael Turner added one apiece, meaning that the team finished undefeated in a rather unfair ninth place.
