HUNTERS HALL GIRLS followed the example of their Evans-Moore Cup winning boys' team by striding to the top of the BDSFA Girls League. A 2-1 win over reigning champions William Bellamy, and a closely fought 2-2 draw with Monteagle ensured they took four points from their opening two games.

Elsewhere, William Bellamy defeated Monteagle 4-0, and St Joseph's clocked up a 4-2 win over Godwin as the early games saw several schools vying for position.
