BDSFA Girls' League
AFTER FINISHING AS runners-up for the past two seasons, and also having to settle for silver in the London and Essex Cups, Godwin finally broke their championship duck as they wrapped up the BDSFA Girls' League title for the first time. A 4-0 win over Marks Gate in the final match of the campaign meant it was seven wins from seven games, with forty four goals scored and only two conceded.
Louise Dove opened the scoring for the hot favourites, with Hollie Ross and Morgan-Lilly Duffield making it three in the second half. Dove added her second to bookend a competent and confident display from the new champions.
