Hall Over For The Season
HUNTERS HALL GIRLS secured second place in the BDSFA Girls' League after a convincing 2-0 win over Valence. A goal apiece from Coral Coote and keeper-turned-striker Rosie McCarthy secured their fourth league win and the runners-up spot behind all conquering Godwin.
It has capped a memorable season for the Alibon Road team, as only one of the side had ever played football before the start of the season. Led by the management duo of Mrs. Copperthwaite and Mrs. Benzallat, the team have gone from strength to strength.
The team had also finished runners up last week in the Monteagle Shield, again to the outstanding Godwin side, but can be proud of their efforts this season.
