Introduction
OVER THE YEARS, thousands of District footballers have travelled to the Channel Islands in order to play in this prestigious English Schools' FA competition, including Michael Owen, John Terry and Theo Walcott.
Of course, the trip is about much more than just football. For many boys it is the first time away from home, the first time they’ve been on a plane, and the first time they’ve used a knife and fork!
The Jersey Festival is a friendly tournament in every sense of the word. Participants make every effort to enjoy themselves on and off the field and form friendships that can last for a lifetime.
Many happy memories will be made over the week. This might include scoring a winning goal, playing on the beach or eating some fantastic breakfasts.
