Jersey Festival Update: 4/4/09

IN GLORIOUS SPRING sunshine, the Boys' District team touched down at Jersey Airport after a comfortable flight from Gatwick. The group then decamped to their base at The Metropole Hotel and had great fun settling in and discovering who their room mates were.

After lunch, and a spot of unpacking, the team splashed about in the Hotel pool for an hour of improvised water-polo before heading down to the beach for stone skimming and sand- related frolics.

The draw for the Festival sees Barking & Dagenham in a tough group with the mighty Gloucester and rivals Thurrock. South Birmingham, Orpington and Felling (Gateshead) make up the rest of the matches for the week. The final game will see the lads match-up opposite the equivalent placed side from the parallel group.

The first game, against Felling takes place on the showpiece "Wembley" pitch on Sunday.
