Saints Nearly 'Ave A Trophy At Last

ST MARGARET'S BID for some silverware at last was foiled in agonising fashion in the RA Bailey 5-a-sides. Sutton's Avenue Primary punished the Barking side with a late rally to deny of the borough's most talented teams yet again.

St Margaret's looked to be on their way when MJ Folkes' double gave them an early lead. However, Avenue fought back to level terms, and then took an unassailable lead.

Daniel John's consolation brought a glimmer of hope but the Surrey school ran out 5-3 winners at the end of an excellent afternoon's football.
