Sir Trevor Brooking

BORN IN 1948, in Barking, Trevor Brooking (RIGHT) went to Ripple school and joined West Ham in 1965. He spent his whole career with the club until retiring in 1984, making over 600 appearances and scoring over 100 goals. He was a FA Cup winner in 1975 and 1980, scoring the only goal of the latter match.

Trevor made his debut for England in 1974 against Portugal, was capped 47 times and scored 5 goals.

Trevor was awarded the MBE in 1981.

He is now head of coaching for The FA after a spell as caretaker manager of West Ham.
