Barking & Dagenham Cup Update

A 6-0 win over William Ford gave the Barking school another three points and they now look favourites to progress from Group 5.

However, the score line didn't tell the whole story as William Ford totally dominated the first period and should have been 4-0 up at the break. St. Margaret's struggled to get into their stride at all and Ford were guilty of missing several gilt-edged chances.

The interval allowed St. Margaret's to regroup and, inspired by MJ Folkes, they scored six second half goals to make William Ford pay for their profligacy. The District midfielder scored a terrific hat-trick, the pick being a fine solo effort to complete his treble.

Elsewhere, fellow Barking school Ripple opened up their campaign with a 4-1 victory over Monteagle. Jayke Welch scored one and made two more as they went top of Group 1.

A complete list of the groups can be found here.
